“UNIfied were selected to Install LED Lights in November 2016. As this was the first LED Highbay installation in PKSW, a very robust process to ensure due diligence was carried out. UNIified came out on top for LED Light technology, Quality of the product being offered as well as being cost competitive for the job once all things were considered such as Lamp Life, Lamp outputs and product guarantee.
UNIfied were very engaged in the process and provided critical assistance by facilitating testing of their lights to understand the effect of a voltage dip which is a regular occurrence at the CRM Warehouse, on the lights they were supplying. This testing proved that the lamp was able to cope with a voltage dip with no effect on the lamp output. This has also been realised now as to date, we have not had any lamp failures or blackouts due to voltage dips on site. UNIified continued to be engaged in the process by having regular face to face meetings to ensure our requirements were fully understood and met with the final design and install. They worked with us to design an installation plan to ensure the lights were replaced in a safe and efficient manner while minimising impact to operations.
Overall, UNIfied exceeded all expectations of the job. They were able to install the lights in 4 days when others said it would take up to 15 working days. The installation team were friendly and efficient and worked with the operation on site to ensure any disruption was kept to a minimum. The lights that were installed are excellent and have drastically improved not only night time light levels, but also alleviated dark spots during day light hours due to the warehouse layout. The lights have been operating for 24hrs / day, 7 days a week since November and to date we have had zero failures of any of the lights. There has been a noticeable decrease in electricity consumption on site of approx. 30,000kwh per month.”

LED Lighting Upgrade
The Port Kembla warehouse facility has ~112 lights, which used inefficient metal halide technology. Additionally, these lights generated heat, and required regular maintenance, so upgrading to LED lighting delivers multiple benefits in this environment. UNIified’s LED upgrade ensured higher lux levels throughout the facility (meeting AS/NZS 1680 lighting standards), and will reduce lighting costs by >$26,000 per year.
