With electricity prices climbing and no signs of slowing down, Willowdale Shopping Plaza needed a long-term solution to protect its bottom line without compromising on service to tenants and shoppers. Like many commercial property owners, the plaza was looking for a way to cut operating costs while backing up its sustainability commitments.
The Solution: Reducing Reliance on Traditional Energy
We’re excited to share that Willowdale Shopping Plaza in Denham Court, NSW has taken a bold step toward a more sustainable future, installing a 66.08kW commercial solar system paired with a 50.4kWh battery.
The system is expected to cut the plaza’s electricity bill by 69%, delivering $18,639 in savings in the first year alone, with the investment paying for itself in just 3.7 years.
Backed by 112 high-efficiency Jinko Tiger Neo bifacial panels and a Solax hybrid inverter and battery system, the installation is projected to generate 87.5 MWh of clean energy annually — avoiding an estimated 71.6 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year, the equivalent of planting over 13,000 trees.
