SOLAR FAQS

Learn more about solar for commercial

Solar power is on the rise, and it’s not just for residential customers anymore. Businesses, irrespective of size, are finding that solar energy can benefit their bottom line by reducing their operating costs. More importantly, renewable energy like solar can do wonders for their corporate image.

A feed-in tariff pays you for excess electricity generated by your solar PV system, and not used in your business. So, if you are producing more electricity from your solar panels than you are using at that point in time, you will be paid by your electricity retailer for this extra electricity which is sent into the grid.
Make a difference. Show your customers that you’re reducing your carbon footprint. Being carbon neutral for your business means action must be taken to reduce and offset the greenhouse gas emissions associated with supplying it to your business. If you have a heavy daytime operation with huge energy consumption, a solar PV system is just one sure way you can offset or reduce your carbon footprint.

LED lighting is known for its exceptional durability and longevity. In general, LED lights can last up to 50,000 hours, which is significantly longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. However, the actual lifespan of an LED light can vary depending on several factors such as its quality, usage patterns, and operating conditions.

It’s important to note that while LED lights can last for an extended period, their efficiency and output can gradually decline over time.

You can save up to 80% on your lighting costs! It is a smart investment that pays off in the long run.

The time it takes to install LED on your commercial building depends on several factors, such as the size of the facility, the number of lights to be installed, and the complexity of the installation.

LEDs work by using a tiny semiconductor chip that converts electrical energy into light. When electricity is applied to the chip, it creates a reaction that produces light. The colour of the light depends on the type of semiconductor material used in the chip.

We have a range of rebates and incentives available to help you pay for the LED costs such as the Victorian Energy Upgrades Program, Energy Savings Scheme, and Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme.

We also have a LED Rental plan to suit everyone’s needs.

Under the Energy Savings Scheme, service providers like UNIfied are obliged to attend to a complaint if there is an installation or manufacturing issue for the period of 3-5 period (depending on the contract).

We endeavour to ensure your LEDs are performing even after installation!
