Smart Energy, Stronger Margins: The Royal Nut Company 123.2 kW Solar and Battery Project
Project Background & Challenges
Royal Nut Company sought to lower operational costs, hedge against rising commercial grid electricity tariffs, and meet key sustainability and carbon offset targets. Operating out of Scoresby, VIC, the business aimed to generate clean power on-site while utilising battery storage to maximise self-consumption.
UNIfied Energy Services designed a tailored 123.2 kW Solar PV system combined with a 50.4 kWh Battery Storage System to optimise power usage during peak demand periods and minimise dependence on the grid.
Delivered Solution
To meet these operational demands, UNIfied Energy Services engineered a comprehensive 123.2 kW solar PV array paired with a 50.4 kWh battery storage system.
The hardware infrastructure features 280 high-efficiency JA Solar 440W N-type bifacial double-glass panels, coupled with 1 x Solax X3 Ultra Hybrid 3-Phase 25 kW inverter and a Solax Battery system configured in two rows.
The installation is further optimised through a SIMBLE Energy Management System, standard mounting rails, structural engineering evaluations, 8m scissor lifts, and full grid connection management.
Key Results & Client Benefits
By partnering with UNIfied Energy Services, Royal Nut Company establishes a robust foundation for long-term energy independence and operational resilience. The integration of a tailored commercial solar and battery system provides an effective hedge against rising grid electricity costs while directly supporting the business’s broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) commitments. Ultimately, this comprehensive renewable energy strategy equips Royal Nut Company with sustainable, self-sufficient power operations well into the future
