Total Tooling

The Combined Impact
By integrating on‑site renewables across both roofs, Total Tooling is expected to offset a substantial share of grid consumption and insulate operations from price volatility, while avoiding nearly 300 tonnes of CO₂ per year. That’s meaningful progress toward sustainability goals with a strong financial backbone.
By unifying the energy strategy across both sites, Total Tooling has achieved a formidable renewable energy infrastructure.
Specialised Solutions for Modern Energy Needs
The combined systems (99 kW + 103.55 kW) create a total generation capacity of 202.55 kW. The newer site alone is estimated to generate 124.5 MWh annually, drastically reducing the company’s reliance on the grid.
For the newest installation, the solar array is projected to reduce the site’s electricity bill by 85.20%. This frees up significant capital that can be reinvested into core manufacturing capabilities rather than operating costs.
Total Tooling is not just saving money; they are saving the planet. The environmental benefits of the new 103.55 kW system alone include:
- 144.4 tons of CO₂ avoided annually.

The Outcome
A professional installation process ensures the system is optimised for performance and safety. The journey typically involves several key steps:
Site Inspection: A thorough review of the premises to design a fit-for-purpose solution.
Grid Connection: Preparation of all necessary paperwork for the storage system’s connection to the local grid.
Expert Installation: CEC and SAA-accredited installers set up the battery and storage hardware.
Commissioning: A final inspection followed by system activation.
With long-term warranties—including 10-year battery and workmanship coverage—homeowners can embark on their sustainability journey with peace of mind.
