Victorian Renewable Energy Target
Recently, the government introduced a new energy target in its ambition to drive the transition to renewables and lower power bills. The targets are:
- 95% of Victorian’s energy to be powered by renewables by 2035, and 65% by 2030
- Reduce 70-80% of emissions by 2035
- $1 billion investment to provide 4.5 gigawatts of renewable power
- 6.3 gigawatts of renewable energy storage capacity by 2035, and 2.6 gigawatts by 2030
